I thought psychics were full of crap! But do I still?

While recording this podcast I come across a lot of wacky theories, beliefs and thoughts, and if I believed all of them where would I be? But if we are too sceptical, then do we close ourselves off to potentially some of the most amazing things that could help us?

Victoria Loustalot was a self-proclaimed sceptic. And then she wrote a book about mystics, shamen, psychics, astrologers and more. What happened next? Find out in this podcast, and next time you hear a wacky theory on Zestology, you'll know exactly the right approach to take - spoiler alert, it's not sceptic, it's not woo-woo, it's somewhere in between.

Check out Victoria's book - Future Perfect: A Skeptic’s Search for an Honest Mystic - available everywhere now.

What even is histamine intolerance? And why should you be concerned by it? Good questions! It's very common, and these questions are answered on this podcast. Dr. Joneja has written 7 books in the area of how we react to food, food allergies and intolerances, and digestive tract reactions to foods.

Histamine, as you’ll hear, is important, but when the total body level of histamine gets too high, all sorts of odd, unpleasant symptoms can occur, and often, histamine sensitivity and histamine intolerance is not diagnosed, because people don’t know about this stuff. And that might be happening to you now. It certainly was happening to me.

We cover these areas on the podcast

  • What is it
  • How is it diagnosed
  • Is it bad for you if there’s too much.
  • How do I know I’m histamine sensitive?
  • Is coffee okay with histamine intolerance or histamine sensitivity?
  • How to work out what’s okay to eat
  • Dao supplements seem to have talc in them. Is this healthy? What about  Grass-fed Kidney supplements for histamine intolerance.
  • Please let me still eat chocolate!

And lots more

A slightly different format this week. Two authors of the same book, interviewed one after the other. Exciting, eh?

It's a podcast about smart people and smart children.
  • How do you define success?
  • What are some of the basic theories behind creating successful people?
  • How do you cultivate resilience?
  • What role do screens play (or not play) in success?
In The Formula: Unlocking the Secrets to Raising Highly Successful Children, Harvard economist Ronald Ferguson, named in a New York Times profile as the foremost expert on the US educational "achievement gap," along with award-winning journalist Tatsha Robertson, reveal an intriguing blueprint for helping children from all types of backgrounds become successful adults.

Ronald is first, and advance warning you'll hear his fax machine go off a couple of times! I didn't know people still used faxes but they do and why not. Ronald is fantastic and so is Tatsha who comes after.

It's not all baby-related now I’m having a baby. But some things transcend parenthood, and this subject is relevant for all. But there is some parenthood stuff in there so if that's not your bag I won't be offended if you quietly wait for next week.
