This week on my podcast, an author who rose to fame after a blog post about anxiety that pretty much broke the internet. In fact even now it's the top google result on anxiety, and curing anxiety.

And guess what, having shunned the sequins and the limelight, she's happier than ever.

She's now an author and meditation teacher living in LA, and when she was in London recently she popped over so we could chat reinventing yourself, chilling out in a hectic world, and the meditation secrets that helped her win the UK's most popular TV show.

First up, I've been spending plenty of time out in nature this summer - trying to get a bit more primal. I walked up Snowdon (the highest mountain in England and Wales) a couple of weeks ago. So many of my Zestology podcast guests talk about the importance of getting back to nature, and being a bit more primal. Having climbed Snowdon I felt the same thing. Especially with emojis to help me on my way.

This week's Zestology was also recorded outside, with Ayurveda expert Natalie Roper. Thousands of years before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India developed Ayurveda. This was a lovely podcast to record - getting slightly sunburnt at Yoga Connects Festival outside, even if I'm not sure about the ghee fast Natalie was talking about.

Over the last couple of weeks I've been to a couple of festivals in the West Country. The Tolpuddle Festival in Dorset, (shaking Jeremy Corbyn's hand possibly the highlight of that one.) And Yoga Connects festival in Glastonbury, where I was also speaking. It was my third time there, and it lived up to the other two - what an awesome weekend of fun, exercise and a few drinks too.

I bumped into this fella, someone I've been meaning to interview for a long time, if only I could get hold of him for more than 5 minutes!

Overcoming adversity

Author Brett Moran has lived an incredible life of ups and downs. Brett's life changed forever when serving time because of a drug deal. He found himself in the prison library and stumbled across a book on meditation. The story is quite something - and it's all in the podcast.

Okay, you're totally wondering what a Squatty Potty is now aren't you. Check it out - apparently it's a way to, er, get more primal when you go to the toilet. Our ancestors squatted for centuries before the invention of the modern day toilet. In fact, the majority of the world's population still squats today! So it's perhaps not as weird as it sounds.

Are you ready for a Brain Boost?

That's the name of my friend Karl's new podcast. When I spoke to my friend Karl Morris on Zestology a while back, it got a big response. He's a leading performance coach in the world of sport and kind of a big deal (though he'd be far too modest to admit that himself).

This time, he's now started a podcast himself and it's been fun chatting to him about his ideas for it. I know he'll be a huge success in the podcast world because he's so damn good at what he does, and I was honoured to be interviewed by him on his new show.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes I worry about getting older. Do you?

Laura Coe is an entrepreneur, podcast host, philosophy lover and certified life coach. She's a brilliant podcast guest, because she tells us in simple terms how age is just a number, and there's no need to worry about it. Hmm, sounds good.

The podcast is all about energy, and feeling good as you get older is all part of that, I reckon. As you'll hear I'm sceptical... but I'm happy to admit Laura is good

So who is this Laura Coe?  She had a high-powered corporate career, and when I say high-powered, she was right at the top. But then something dramatic happened, and everything changed. You'll hear about that too. Laura's a repeat Zestology guest - because I know people enjoyed listening last time.

Jono Grant is one of the world's top DJs. He and I had a caffeine-fuelled chat on music and creativity, and how he gets into the creative vibe. Above and Beyond are obviously a massive worldwide success and he also talks about the biggest gig he ever played - in front of 1 million people in Rio.

He's also responsible for the music that you hear at the start of the podcast.

Sometimes we get so mired in stress, anxiety or wrapped up in our problems, it's hard to remember how to relax. So today I speak to one of the UK's top psychologists all about stress and balance.

Anna Williamson used to be a pop band, then was one of the UK's most popular children's TV presenters. It's quite a journey from that to respected psychologist (yes, I just used the J word). She's now the resident psychologist for Big Brother and ITV's This Morning, two of the biggest shows on UK television.

Join us as we discuss 'funny mind stuff'. She's had her own problems with anxiety and stress, and she's now all about balance.

Anna and I met to record at a venue in Central London - possibly the noisiest hotel in the city. Somehow it doesn't sound too loud on the interview though, thanks partly to some very friendly people we met who talked sotto voce while we recorded.

The author of the brilliant best-selling book - The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k.

I keep seeing people reading this book all over London. It's been a huge hit for Sarah. The interview contained such amusing parts as the four categories of potential F*** giving. Then she wrote the book - Get Your Sh*t Together: How to stop worrying about what you should do so you can finish what you need to do and start doing what you want to do. Now she's moved to the Dominican Republic, recorded a viral Tedx talk, and had a crazy Zestology-inspired coincidence. All of which is good podcast topic material.

Potty-mouthed Sarah Knight specialises in best-selling books with vaguely naughty words in the title. And she's decidedly anti-guru. She's perfect for Zestology.

I've often heard about taking a boat load of vitamin C when you get a cold to get rid of it quickly. But I've never quite known if it was actually true or not. I'm still buzzing after our latest live event in London. It was just so cool to meet lots of friendly Zestologists doing some innovative (some would say crazy) stuff to improve their energy and performance levels. We also had the legendary ultramarathoner Dean Karnazes there - the man who never stretches, even after running 300 miles! 

Dean is a big name.
So impressive that TIME named him one of the “Top 100 Most Influential People in the World” and Men’s Fitness honored him as one of the fittest men on the planet.

This week on Zestology I speak to an extraordinary author - Dr. Robert Glover. He's simply awesome on relationships, setting boundaries, and living with integrity.

I contacted him because I admire his work, and I'm pleased he came on the show. He's a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and wrote the cult classic No More Mr Nice Guy.
